I started my musical life as lead guitarist in the Sydney-based band, Eggs Benedict, before studying classical vocal technique in the Bel Canto tradition.
I worked as a full-time opera singer (in Australia and overseas) for 35 years while maintaining a teaching practice throughout. I am a lyric bass, and I have performed all the major roles in my fach. See the Performance page for details of my commercially released recordings.
Having recently retired from the opera stage, I am now working as the guitarist and bass player in Silent Red and The Burnout and teaching at Mode Red Studio. I teach singing (classical and music theatre), guitar and bass guitar for contemporary genres. I studied audio engineering and music production through a Dublin based college and I am the ProTools expert at Mode Red Studio. See details of my performance career here.
In addition to my career in music, I have worked as a professional photographer for the past 30 years, and my portfolio includes theatre photography, wedding and portrait photography. I pursue landscape and pet photography as private passions as well. See some of my work here.
